Thanks for that information. I will try again, but the few times I try UPdt never shows up on the TV or the receiver. It boots up the receiver and the channel numbers come up on it.

I just can't get the menu to show up. If I could do that I know what to do to reset it. All I was going to do was adjust the brightness a bit. When the menu came up I started to scroll down to do that and everything just went dark. So I just don't know what to do to get the menu to show back up...
