It's not even possible for that to happen. A tech cannot arbitrarily change a receiver, and a 4K Joey costs the customer $50. And there is no "repair department", only the same CSR support you get for every call. Technical Support and Dr Dish went out the window a few years ago.

They called back and checked up on us.so i asked the rep what happened. She told me that they put a wireless joey on the work order and not the joey 4. Then I told her about the 4k Joey that we never ordered lol. She just said that should not have happened...

While this is an old post. You can buy the Joeys from dish and have em drop ship them to you.. and just call in and swap joeys if thats all your doing.. dish will activate anything as long as it's in there limits
