I'm going to offer a counter viewpoint and suggest that you get the Hopper+. Having everything in one interface (apps) is pretty damn cool. Dish has the kinks ironed out (finally) with the hardware.

No added DVR space. Honestly, I recommend you get a Firestick or Roku instead. Or maybe, if it mean$ that much to you, AppleTV. Better, faster, can keep if you ever leave Dish.
