Fox Weather coming to DTV stream

It’s live for me, I went to it and I got a loading screen (similar to the loading screen seen on SignalSaver) before the stream loaded. Like all other internet/streaming delivered channels you cannot record/rewind/ffwd/pause etc.

iOS 18, what did you think?

I guess I need to as well. I’m trying out the iPhone Mirroring and it’s working. Nice that I can use iPhone Apps from my MacBook without needing to grab the phone off the charger.

iOS 18, what did you think?

Installed the new OS everywhere yesterday. Don't see a lot that I care about so far. I do like being able to remove the camera shortcut from the lock screen on the phone, I was hitting that by accident frequently. More home screen customization available but I'm accustomed to my current layout.

Warner, Fox, Disney to Launch Streaming Sports Joint Venture

VENU is dead, just waiting for the last rites to be read. Kill it, lawsuit goes away. Never was going to be a success , just a placeholder till ESPN Streaming gets going. Have Fox Sports as a add on, then Fox will not be spending money on starting up a new service, let Disney absorb those...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

So is Cable/Satellite TV, the difference in costs between them and steaming remains the same. To compare streaming Live TV using YTTV- With Dish, package close to YTTV is America 120+ at (new price of)$102.99, plus $14 for locals is $116.99, then a DVR is $10, plus one more box is $7, a total...

Charter claims they are going to provide better pricing

Who cares about the percentage, I care about the final costs. Dish-package close to YTTV is America 120+ at $102.99, plus $14 for locals is $116.99, then a DVR is $10, plus one more box is $7, a total of $133.99, $60 more then YTTV. DirecTV-package close is Choice, but no RSN or fee of course...

    My transistion to fiber

Tailscale now allows a client to act as a gateway to an entire LAN so if you set it up accordingly, you can refer to any device in your tailnet by its DNS name from anywhere on your tailnet. My router is set up as a Tailscale node and I can access anything on the LAN side by either DNS name (my...

    My transistion to fiber

I run other servers as well as well as my security cameras. so direct is best. I have used Tailscale in the past for other things. Its really cool having all your networks available no matter what device you are on. :D

    My transistion to fiber

Dynamic DNS combined with port forwarding (especially useful with Plex since it runs on an unusual port) or Tailscale are free options. I use Tailscale for everything involving computers at different locations (even if the locations aren't random). I can't remember the last time I referred to...

    Search Function

There's a blast from the past. Most search engines have trouble with punctuation and acronyms. In this case, it may pay dividends to search for hddvd instead. I'm glad the default sorting isn't "relevance" as it is on some other forums.

Charter claims they are going to provide better pricing

As a self-proclaimed numbers person, you seem happy to ignore certain details to support your holy mission. YTTV hit the ground at $35 with limited distribution. Now it is $72.99 which is a 114% price rise over six years. There have been at least four price increases to get there, not three...
