More and more streaming FAST channels on DISH

7 more FAST channels added yesterday, adding a Crime & Investigation group (095-01 thru 095-05) and Food & Living (096-01 thru 096-04). Total # of FAST channels: 44

More and more streaming FAST channels on DISH

I’ll be patient then. 😉 Loving some of these channels (NOST, Combat War, Wonder, Documentary+ are good!).

More and more streaming FAST channels on DISH

Today, DISH added 9 more streaming FAST channels (090-01 thru 090-11). With all these streaming additions in the 90’s, I’m hoping Hoppers will be able to record them at some point. Live TV buffering is there, with pause, rewind, etc. so how far behind can scheduling a recording? Even if it is...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Sirius and XM merged in 2008 when both the House and Senate were controlled by Democrats.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

That may be true about YOUR generation (and generations older than you and me), but younger generations are more and more turning to different sources for entertainment and information than linear television. Fast forward 20-30 years and I don’t see any more live, linear TV channels other than...

NASA TV shutting down this August

And so the march toward streaming moves on. I predicted years ago that linear channels would start shutting down in favor of on demand, leaving sports and news channels as the only remaining live, linear channels. I figured the first ones to do so would be Nickelodeon or MTV, given their...

    Paris 2024 Olympics Dish App

I'm showing the app link on 208 (same as CNBC??), not 207. I'm seeing 204 as "PARIS - Press Select for Olympics Info".

    Dish Anywhere on Apple TV

Works much better (faster, at least) than any of my Android TV boxes. Very nice.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

The closest streamer to the “ease” of satellite/cable is DIRECTV Stream and their Osprey box & remote. Sans DVR, Guide or channel numbers, everyone else does take a bit longer to navigate to those respective points, depending on where you are in their menus. That’s the only real negative in each...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

SIRIUS can be canceled easily via online chat. Takes 5-10 minutes. I do it every year when my $5/mo offer expires. Just tell them you sold the car. I've "sold" the same car multiple times.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

You’d be surprised how tech advanced many farms are.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Other than live sports and news, there is really no need for linear TV anymore for much of America. We've become accustomed to an "on demand world" where anything we want to watch is available when and where we want it: from music to movies/tv. Linear television requires a user to set...

    MeTV Removed from Dish

A Tuesday channel addition? Doesn’t DISH usually launch channels on Wednesdays?

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Let's discuss that possibility. Is it one? Would DISH really just close up shop? For those more educated on the matter than me (i.e., most), what are the worst case, best case and most probable case scenarios?

    D11 outage 2/27/2024 (Resolved on 2/28)

    Pursuit Channel Change

...but usability downgrade because you can't record streaming channels. If this is the way of the future, they need to work on a way to have the Hopper 3 capture and record the stream. It already *kinda* does since live TV buffer (pause and rewind) is functional on (most) streaming channels.

    That was MY question. ;)

    MeTV Removed from Dish

611+ days without MeTV on DISH. If it's never coming back, why is the channel still in the guide?

    Paramount+ coming to DISH?

It's CBS shows, CBS News, Paramount Movies, original series (some are terrific: "1883" and "Strange New Worlds", in particular), Nickelodeon, MTV, Smithsonian Channel, BET, and Comedy Central. The upper tier gets you Showtime and your live CBS channel.

    Paramount+ coming to DISH?

Are they offering the FULL Paramount+ catalog and app access, or select programming (like DISH)? This thread on Reddit is saying it’s just select: https://www.reddit.com/r/youtubetv/s/EW9G8HlViI

    Paramount+ coming to DISH?

I'm a bit surprised at that since HULU and SPECTRUM are offering Paramount+ app access to subscribers of Paramount+ with Showtime (and DIRECTV will soon). You would think to stay competitive they'd have to do similarly.

    Paramount+ coming to DISH?

Hulu & Spectrum customers can create a free Paramount+ login if they subscribe to Paramount+ with Showtime (the new Showtime incarnation). DIRECTV says their customers will be able to soon, too...

Recent quality problems with local Twin Cities PBS tpt channel 2

I live near the Willmar area (same Minneapolis DMA) and I've not any issues with Twin Cities PBS channels...other than KTCI one day recently (in the last month or so) not in my custom guide. Had to add it back. And I thought they were in HD before, not SD...but maybe my memory is going.
