AK is on the North American continent, but conus has long been understood (usually) to be just the 48. Some conus coverages have taken in AK or part thereof.

I understand those areas are NOT Continental US, that was my point. And obviously the new sat will still serve the Continental US. I guess I would have just said it would be serving "all US territories", if being nitpicky...

Those areas are not Continental US. But because the new sat will be all spots they would be served by it anyway.

And if this satellite (or any others) also serves HI, AK, PR, or USVI, which E* DOES currently serve now, then saying it's "serving the CONUS" is technically not 100% accurate, either... ;)

They might of merged bbc comedy and bbc scifi cause I see red dwarf is playing there, wonder if blake's 7 and hitchhicker guide to galaxy and few show that play on bbc scifi channel are gone be on comedy channel too, seeing most of there comedy/scifi in first place

I still question Dish PQ, some channels are still 720p and highly compressed and few channels that 1080p or even 4k are just as compressed. But none of there Channels come close to 1080p bluray quality I would even argue that none them match 720p bluray quality. More time that not there...

Got it - I saw CONUS and I was thinking CONUS transponders vs spotbeams.

When THEY say CONUS, they mean the satellite - spotbeam or not - is serving the CONtinental United States

I am confused on this - wasn't there a satellite that was supposed to give 110 a lot of spotbeams, not a CONUS satellite. Is there a 3rd satellite not listed?
