EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Me either. I still prefer my home wifi to the speeds I get with 5G.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Cost money to deploy and install it I guess and they don't have the money to finish out the cell phone towers and owe for debts that they can't pay. So why try to start anything else.

Ok everyone, Lets agree to disagree and move on. It's just TV. :biggrin2

    Young Sheldon

I hope that they deal with Mary and Meemaw on the sequel Georgie and Mandy's first marriage. They will still be in Medford with her parents so it would make sense we would still see Mary and Meemaw from time to time since they are there too. They don't have to be regulars. They can make...

Disney Is ‘Pretty Dramatically’ Reducing Spending on Traditional TV Content

It was a "bust". She went from wholesome Mickey Mouse to Beach Blanket Bingo movies. She made the most of her " assets" though and she could sing too. :smug

Disney Is ‘Pretty Dramatically’ Reducing Spending on Traditional TV Content

She went from Mickey Mouse to Beach Blanket Bingo movies as a young woman. She had grown into her boobs by then. It no longer looked as strange as when she was a young teen. :biggrin2

Disney Is ‘Pretty Dramatically’ Reducing Spending on Traditional TV Content

Annette had huge jugs and a cone bra that was bursting out on her. You can watch any episode as she aged and it is hard to avoid seeing. :biggrin2

    How things have changed

That is mostly what I see on Satellite and Cable. Old network shows from years ago fill the day and infomercials and commercials out the butt. There is no reason to have all those channels with no original programming anymore. TNT and TBS no longer do original scripted shows. USA is...

    Young Sheldon

I liked both episodes. We were having bad weather in South east Texas during the show and of course the weather man cut into programming every 15 minutes so I missed the ending of the show. I had to rewatch on Paramount + to catch what I missed. It explains why older Sheldon has been narrating...

    How things have changed

Will see if DISH satellite TV service will still be around in 2030. I really doubt it. Echostar might still be in business but I see DISH selling out or merging or being bought out for the parts. They are simply losing to many subs to keep it profitable long term.

    New Install, new equipment?

Echostar might be in business, but DISH satellite TV service won't. I don't see this lasting till 2030.

    New Install, new equipment?

I think their focus is all on cell phone service, getting the financing money to expand out to 75% and to keep the bankruptcy from happening as long as they can. I don't think that they see them selves being a TV provider much longer. The way churn is accelerating each quarter there won't be...

    THE BOYS are back, 2022

Its been so long since I watched the season 3 and the death orgy episode, I don't remember anymore what is going on. When is season 4 coming?

Disney Is ‘Pretty Dramatically’ Reducing Spending on Traditional TV Content

I think the writing is on the wall. Streaming services will get first run shows and Cable/satellite will get reruns of first run shows after they are much older. There really isn't a reason to have live TV anymore with all those channels. I have to confess there is only a few cable like...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

My son bought his first used car when he was in Florida in the Marines. He has been getting emails and phone texts and now snail mail from XM over and over again for the last 4 years. The other day I delivered his mail under his door in his room and I put the Sirius XM mail on top and I went...

    Young Sheldon

It made me tear up. The funeral will be hard too. I will miss this show. They are in the year 1994 because Ace Ventura: Pet Detective came out in 1994. That was the movie Georgie and his wife went to. I can remember that year well, because I got married that year in April. Just...

    Auto Hop?

No it is by the individual program recorded by Prime time Anytime. For legal reasons they want to make sure the viewer answers that question so it doesn't look like DISH is skipping everything automatically without consent. The networks really want you to watch the commercials. Also the...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Typically , urban areas have high density buildings , while suburban and RURAL areas have low density housing. Low density housing typically refers to residential areas occupied by single-family homes or buildings with a small number of units. Low density neighborhoods are generally more...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

They have said for the last year that the rural areas are what will be a boogaboo, because of covering less dense areas. Less dense and rural are pretty much the same thing. Rural areas are not full of a large population like cities like L.A. California. "DISH has a deadline of mid-June 2025...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

IF DISH doesn't meet the 75% deadline to build out their cell phone company in June of next year they can lose all the spectrum that they have paid for up to now. But they need lots of money to finish the build out of the towers in rural areas, so it all comes back to money. I don't see them...
