Just got off the phone closing an account ive had for over 20 years with practically all movie channels etc..mind is blown they didnt give me one single offer to stay..$100+ a month for 20 years means nothing??!! Absolutely mind blowing to me.

I sadly had to make this decision last week.. i got a locked in 4 life promo via Suddenlink and i could not say no..save $50 a month and go to 100mbps to 400. I missed my HBO and fox regional (thunder Up)!

Removing a channel altogether due to a contract issue is one thing but not giving any mail(e-mail or snail) about what is happening to your package is absolute garbage.

well i enjoyed 1 block of 6 months of HBO for $7.50 now its just $5 off/$10 total when you go to remove it in programming...i had the $10 for life got greedy tried to remove it and offered me the $7.50 once.

Tulsa does not have that bad of an accent...Now i won't lie we do say "Yall" round here but compared to overseas or memphis it really is not all that bad. Sadly most of these jobs are almost guaranteed in the retention dept according to Tulsa World.

Dish will add it but it is waiting closer till Olympic time before they start paying NBC for the channel. Why pay for a channel that is not going to offer a whole lot for awhile...I guarantee you Dish will get on board later into the season before the actual Olympics.

2 threads and 15 pages for 2 small markets really is not all that bad. The madness behind this is they Own Oklahoma CBS. California or Texas would not allow just 1 company to own every single CBS in their state. Our entire state who are DIsh subs lost CBS Jan 1st and just because of weather...

My guess is News 9 wanted the ratings for the storm coverage(gave dish its programming for free) and Dish said a minimum of 5-7 days is required to put up and take down a station. Hence no news about this nor is there any guide data.

I'm not sure about News 6 out of Tulsa, but news 9 out of OKC is not that hard to pick up even with an indoor antenna 40-50 miles away up north. Im pretty sure they are a directional signal so who knows. 9 and 6 cover about roughly 80% of all CBS in Oklahoma. South eastern and South western OK...

as of this afternoon, News9 is still on dish but, no guide data. Im thinking News 9 really really doesnt want to deal with another plug pulling and are working on a deal. I wonder if Dish will try to pull the same card DTV did and choose not to air KSBI 52 in HD and pay less...if Griffin will...

Every 2 years these 2 go at it. Apparently DTV also had an issue with griffin and they do not offer KSBI 52 in HD. Constant scrolls when weather is bad telling you to call DTV and ask why KSBI is not in HD.

Griffin/News 9 has made a temporary agreement with Dish during this Ice Storm and has returned. My guess says it stays. Griffin does not want the backlash again if they take it back down.
