    HR20 install

    I signed up for DirectV on Dec 18 and ordered the HR20. I was told that the receiver was in short supply but would be installed within 30 days. Today when I called Directv, they said currently they are not scheduling installs for the HR20 because they are out of stock. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF...

    Formats ? Want to use my tv's

    aspect ratio problem I have a 37" Panasonic HD tv and want to use the TV's aspect controls. I have the Directv receive settings set as follows: Widescreen, display set to Pillar Box, and Native set to "On". My TV aspect selections work but something is wierd. The TV picture is Pillar Box...

    Format Options

    Format I'm not familiar with the Native setting. Are you saying that I should set the Native to ON and if I do then whatever res. is being broadcast it will pass through my TV and my Just format will work? Will it happen automatically or will I have to swithch res. for each show?

    I have the HD receiver (not HR20) and the format options for non SD programs are Crop, Picture Box, or Stretch. I like to have the whole screen filled so I am using the Stretch option. On my Panasonic TV , in addition to the above options, I also have a Just option which is a little stretch...
