    I have noticed it to be only certain shows I try to record that I get the error message on.

    I just made my second request (I think) of the day and now it says I have to wait 8 HOURS to make another :(.

    Yea as soon as the requested song plays and clears out of the queue it will allow another request, so that request probably played before you made that second attempt.
