    PBS on 125

I'm sure most here know this, but if not, HD04 (12145 H) and HD05 (12155 H) will shut off on June 1, the same day the main 12180 V transponder moves to 99W. A scrolling ticker has been on both feeds since May 3 concerning this.

AMIKO Manual for DM3800 DiSEqC Motor

That worked just fine. A few copy and paste actions in Google Translate did the trick. Thanks!

AMIKO Manual for DM3800 DiSEqC Motor

Today, I saw that the "West" LED was blinking twice after both "East" and "West" LEDs flashed normally three times. I've look around, but cannot find the included manual. It's around here somewhere, but I'm not yet sure where. For the moment, is there an accessible PDF copy?

    PBS on 125

I spoke too soon. 12180 V on 125W is gone here, now jumping between 7.7 db and 8.4 db. 12145 H is 10.7 db and 12155 H is 11.1 db. A quick check of the radar shows rain at the uplink site in Alexandria, VA.

    PBS on 125

Coming in at around 16.3 dB here using a 1.2m dish. The transponder is also being simulcast on G16 (99W), but it is slightly weaker.

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

I was able to figure out the problem. The cause was a defective LNB. Replacing the LNB fixed the issue. I noticed that if I disconnected the cable that led from the LNB to the motor, the motor would work just fine. Connecting the cable caused the problems mentioned above to occur. I still took...

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

I believe I've got an extra power supply that just might work; it has 2 amps. I will also try replacing the ends of the cables to see if that helps as well. I use high quality cable with compression connectors, so hopefully replacing the ends allows me to get more use out of this cable.

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

I've been using the power supply that came with the Amiko Mini. It's only 1.5 amps. I didn't consider that the power supply may have been too weak. I'll check the voltage with the meter later today while I perform some more tests. I'm starting to feel some confidence that this isn't a motor...

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

Update: I went outside and used two new cables, one went from the LNB to the motor and the other went from the motor to the receiver. At first, the motor would turn the dish fine, but then, as the dish would move, it would start to gradually move slower until it came to a stop. There would be no...

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

I recently purchased an Amiko Mini H265, which arrived yesterday. I’ve been using an Amiko DM3800 motor since October 2020 and it has worked great. However, yesterday, something happened. When I connected the coaxial cable to the Amiko, everything was working fine. About 15 minutes afterward, I...

    PBS on 125

I've mainly kept my dish on 125W for PBS for years. Before July 2021, lots of PBS content was fed on their 3 feed channels: HD03 (in the 12180 V mux), HD04 (12145 H), and HD05 (12155 H). You could catch shows a few days or a few weeks before they aired on HD01 or elsewhere. I made sure to record...

    YouTube Potential Dispute with Disney

I think the dispute has been settled. The ESPN channels are back and my DVR recordings of ESPN have returned. EDIT: Confirmed by YouTube TV on Twitter. View: https://twitter.com/YouTubeTV/status/1472657141789904899?s=20

Cspan analog NTSC channel is going to disappear

I just really don't want to spend $30+ on an old analog receiver and find out C-SPAN won't come in. I've looked around on various forums and nobody has answered this particular question, to my knowledge. I should note, I’m in the 42dBW region of the footprint for 131W.
