    1.2 Meter Commercial Dish

Channel Master made 2 versions of 1.2m antenna. Most common one (part # 3040646) with offset angle 22.6* and opening angle 80*. . You've got a long-focus antenna, most of the time used for VSAT needs, and it has an offset angle about 16* and opening angle about 60*.

    1.2 Meter Commercial Dish

This, for sure, is VSAT antenna from Channel Master. Nice one!

    Channelmaster Mount Hacking

Yes, this is not a different mold of the reflector. I also do not think that manufacturer made this Frankensteined design. Why should they? Perhaps, one of the first owners lost original feedarms or got the original plastic LNB-holder and decided to attach feedarm from another antenna. The...

    Channelmaster Mount Hacking

Interesting! Could you post some pictures of that notch? Is there a stamp on the back of the dish with the mold number? And what kind of LNB-holder this dish had?

    Channelmaster Mount Hacking

Is that the original Channel Master antenna feedarm? If not, are you sure the LNB is in tight position?

    LNBF problem

I like universal solutions, like on the pictures. It is possible to install C or Ku band LNB in the focus. It is also possible to move scalar closer/further from the dish and to adjust multifeeded LNB fully independently. But, of course, any solution is good when it helps to achieve needed results.

    Satellite Dish by Channel Master

ILoveSats Nice catch, congratulations! Channel Master also has the polar-mount for antennas up to 1.2m. But, in your case, if you wish this antenna to be installed on Diseqc motor, then, yes, you will need to fabricate something, as there is no ready solution available.

    Conical scaler

Of course, conical scalar is needed for LNB when used on offset dish. Flat scalar when the same LNB is installed on PFA. If flat scalar is used on an offset dish than it will overilluminate ( see much more than entire dish surface). Is not this the case you meant by saying word "otherwise"? In...

    Conical scaler

Did you mean that it will see much more than dish surface, including lots of ground noise?

OTHER Aligning a T-90 Toroidal Dish

First double reflector toroidal dish was presented in March 2003, and that was T55. T90 came a while later. They also had plans to make T120 but never make it. Anyway, T55 and T90 were most popular in Europe. Even now people are eager to have this nice piece of equipment. Some time ago I was...

OTHER Aligning a T-90 Toroidal Dish

Captain Midnight T90 was my first satellite dish ever and I liked it a lot. Yes, you need patient to tune it. I would say, do not correct it, just install it as it is and try to catch as many satellites as possible. As far as I know, you do not have so many Ku-band satellites available in USA.

    Edision LNB testing

Usually, any satellite receiver has possibility to show signal levels. Install one LNB and look what signal level is, then install a second LNB and look for signal level again, and so on. Afterward compare results and install LNB which gave you the best signal level (performance).

    Edision LNB testing

The easiest way is to install them one by one on your antenna and see which gives the best performance. Actually, this is only one way how to do comparison, at least what I am aware of.

100cm Satellite dish and missing parts

Make a new one, or 3 of them! But make sure that the arms and LNB-holder position the LNB in the way that it 's phase center co-located with the antenna's focal point.

    DIY coax tightening tool

This is the tool I made many moons ago. It fits for purpose perfectly.
