    This is a bit harsh, but in the case of OTA TV, the FCC is too passive. DRM does not serve the public interest, and shouldn't be allowed on our airwaves without public benefit.

    ESPN NY has AM and FM . They have some local programming, notably the #1 afternoon sports show, though it may have been eclipsed by now. We have an ESPN FM *only* in Hartford (WUCS) - go figure!

    No. This "lighthouse" setup starts the 5-year clock for the participating channels. At some point >= 5 years in the future, WVIT's OTA signal itself goes to ATSC3 (or they sell off spectrum and co-host).

    Only slightly. It's tough for me, because I already have 1 "new" 4K, and 1 "old" one. I could replace a 4K Fire Stick in use now on one lightly used TV.

    This is an EXCELLENT point, especially as i have VHF7 and 10 in play. I've been flip-flopping on whether to raise height, or raise distance from obstacles. You may have sealed it for me. Now i have to see if i can jerryrig my old Winegard TR-3535 dish mount with a higher pole.
