WGN Parting ways with The CW

When Scripps bought the My affiliate in Detroit last year (WMYD channel 20), they started running that station more like an independent. They still carry My Network programming during primetime, but they dropped all of the My Network branding so now if you watch that station, you wouldn't know...

What's gonna happen to NBC in Boston?

Don't know if you guys have been following what's happening in Boston, but Comcast seems to be determined to switch it's NBC programming from WHDH (which has been with NBC since 1995) to WNEU, an NBCUniversal O&O that currently carries Telemundo. The problem is that WNEU's signal is a lot weaker...

AT&T's 328K DirecTV adds more than offset by whopping 382K losses for U-verse

If you type in your address on att.com to check availability, they'll still let you order u-verse TV online if it's available and that's what you want. I've been with u-verse for over a year now, and if I was a new customer, I'd still go with u-verse tv (with the current all included promos)...

Could Viacom Channels Go *Poof* This Week?

He's talking about Byron Allen's Entertainment Studio channels. Comedy.TV happens to be one of them. http://comedy.tv/ Both Directv and U-verse started carrying them a couple of months ago.

Could Viacom Channels Go *Poof* This Week?

Back then in '04, Viacom had more leverage because they owned CBS (and as a result, their O&Os). If the idiots at Viacom had any brains, they would have kept CBS and not spin it off into a separate company in '06.

Could Viacom Channels Go *Poof* This Week?

Here's the most interesting part of that website that could be true or false. "The few small providers that no longer carry Viacom networks have admitted that they decided to do so in order to focus solely on growing their high margin broadband businesses, which DISH does not provide. As a...

In Detroit: ION, CBS, CW, and FOX are all O&Os. Scripps owns the ABC and and MY Network stations, and the NBC station (the infamous WDIV :oldwink) is owned by Graham Media Group (formerly called Post-Newsweek stations) which only has 5 stations.
