I believe the Bally / Fandual is not bound by that and can be used in the "local" market

If that's the case, then $20 a month to watch your in-market team doesn't seem too bad. But do you have to have an Amazon Prime subscription on top of that?

That is a Good Question.

I would presume you would need a Prime Sub, unfortunately.

Are there any other things you can watch on Prime, without a Sub ?
I have a Sub, so I don't know.

If Bruce is correct (I think he is), that adds another $9-15 to the cost of that $20 a month cost.
Only if you are only using your Amazon Prime subscription to get the local RSN. There is a lot more to a Prime subscription though.

Are you saying you can get the local RSN without an Amazon Sub ?

Thats what we were trying to determine.

Do we have a confirmation either way yet ?

Not from Amazon. What I meant is there are other benefits to Amazon Prime like free shipping, Amazon Prime video, Amazon Gaming, Amazon music etc…

I can get the Cardinals RSN directly from Fanduel this season for the same price ($19.99) as the Amazon offer. Probably depends on where you live if it is available there for your local team.

1. Your Benefits of Free Shipping, is NOT FREE, its part of the Amazon SUB.
2. Amazon is not offering the service, they are simply a place to get it. They pass on what they get from MLB.TV I would imagine, I don't believe they have anything to do with Producing the games.

FOX is going to offer a streaming service

Paramount +
