The Broncos were a circus before Tebow, the circus started with then head coach Josh McDaniels & his trading away Jay Cutler,Brandon Marshall,& a then unknown Peyton Hillis. As good as Kyle Orton was,the Broncos finished no better their first season with him than they did with Tebow last season. At least the Broncos made it to the playoffs with Tebow. The Broncos have a total fascination with "seasoned(read old)" QB's. Charley Johnson & Craig Morton were both long in the tooth when they played for the Broncos & Peyton Manning won't be any younger than they were starting for the Broncos. John Elway didn't win any Super Bowls for them until he was in his mid to late 30's. At least keeping Tebow around will cushion the Broncos if Manning gets hurt or finally retires. It's no secret whatsoever that Elway doesn't want Tebow, never did,& certainly didn't appreciate it that the Broncos made it to the playoffs WITH TEBOW,because it made Elway look bad for wanting to get rid of him. Elway is hoping that the popularity of Manning will overshadow dumping Tebow(which Elway wanted to do in the first place).
