What is the signal level on 61.5 transponder 5, 7 ,10, 12 ? ....
.
Hello,
..... Blast from the past. lol
OP here, ... shocking I know.
Following up.
I finally realized you all have had difficulty sleeping, worrying about my technical issues, so I thought I would finally try to follow up.
Well 8 months later, after adding the single LNB boot to the Dish 500 arm to LNB, for 61.5, my signal strength, after tweaking "in the summer / will full tree canopy, is;
T5; 50 - 52
T7; 46-48
T10; 55-59
T12; 49-54
Which is awesome, and I am totally satisfied with that now.
Prior to tweak signal on 12 was 22 -32.
After recent tweaks (adding single plastic adapter to LNB, as opposed to the existing double plastic adapter.) to dish I have learned;
I needed a good tuning of the dish.
That my signal issues are not equipment related.
The monster tree to the right of dish is not in the way of 61.5.
If anything could be blocking signal it would be the limbs directly above, ironically.
Not sure yet how high the birds are.
My Dish was not tweaked to max signal.
Need to use wife's smart phone to download Dishpointer App, Yes ? ? ?
So I can see exactly where these birds are located in the sky, yes ? ? ?
Sorry for the 8 month delay posting back.
I want to post pics too. Trying to figure out that process.
Would love to show photos of how I am boxed in by trees.
I have a split arc due to trees.
Dish installers could only capture 72 in the winter. Come summer, with leaves we lost signal.
So I reset the dishes back to split arc.
So I have two dishes, one on 61, another on 110/119.
I know, I am missing many channels, and a lot of HD.
My birds shoul be 61 and 72.
Don't think I can capture 129 either.
It is what it is.
I asked Dish Network if they would help compensate me to remove a 70 foot Hickory tree, so I could capture their birds. (72)
They said no.
Hope all that makes sense.
And I apologizes for the 8 month gap in my response to this thread.
Life got in the way.
Hope everyone is well.
Will try to post pics.
