    Another Spectrum Auction?

Not based on any facts, just pure speculation... when the dust settles and ATSC 3.0 kicks in there will be DRM free channels but limited to 480i/p.

Testing the Titanium C140 and C240 5G Filtered BLUE LNBFs

Aside from differences in frequency filtering, how does the signal strength from 4000-4200 MHz compare between the C138 and C140? If I'm understanding the graphs correct, the C140 looks like it has better signal?

    Circular C-Band reception

Thanks for the good info. Anyone try using one of these: C Band Dual Polarity Circular Polarisation Kit or Extension Tube For Circular C Band Lnbf Regarding dielectric plate insertion, it looks like there are grooves inside waveguide to hold it in place so is there a correct orientation...

    Circular C-Band reception

Its been a few years since I checked out the limits of my LOS so this time I thought I'd see if I can receive any circular C-band signals which is something I've never tried. Not sure if there is anything ITC but targets this weekend will be 47.5W and 53W so the big unknown is if I'll get...

Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

Titanium thank for the update. I'm sure you'll be releasing full specs when it's ready but can you share what the frequency range is for the new blue filter LNBF?

Need New Mesh for a Unimesh 10'

Got a picture of the hardware store mesh you used? Amazon also sells metal mesh that would probably work.

Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

Titanium, any update on when you might have inventory of Blue 5G filter LNBF?

Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

Sadly I'm starting to see 5G interference with my C238PP so looking forward to the arrival of the new C240 Blue Filter. I may have to reconfigure as dual LNBF setup as I suspect there will still be feeds I want to see below 4000.

Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

Thanks for the quick reply. After correcting skew from vertical to horizontal, C238PP working great

Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

Had 10 min free today and thought I'd swap out my prior LNB for the Titanium C238 Performance Plus LNBF. I didn't look close at the skew before I remove the LNBF and vaguely recall there being something off regarding the 0 degree positioned labeled on the LNBF? Running back and forth outside...

Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

Hi Titanium, Is the C238 version currently listed on your website the new version with improved filter? I wasn't sure as it doesn't say performance plus or any reference to new 5G filter. Thanks again for making these available.

    DSR922 Update

Does an updated DSR922 receive any channels different from any other FTA receiver or is it just used a positioner?

Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

Is there a C238 "performance plus" model in the works? The filtering below 3800MHz looks great. I'm not an expert in interpreting these graphs but am I correct that relative to the original model, the new model (5G filter) also results in (H/V) decreased RF level from 3800-4000mhz and...

Need New Mesh for a Unimesh 10'

Tek2000 used to sell it although I just looked and its out of stock. IIRC dish mesh is considered an expanded metal so you may need to make some phone calls. https://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/kti-polar-mount.388712/post-4521918

    Found a C band dish.Now what?

To quote one of your prior posts, "It doesn't make sense to spend time and money in vain when you can overthink things first to ensure you have alleviated as much of the downside beofre arriving to a final decision." You could absolutely try an unfiltered LNBF exactly as N6BY stated although...

    Found a C band dish.Now what?

I wouldn't view 5g as an obstacle as that can be overcome with a new LNBF if needed. IMHO, your biggest limitation is your LOS and 8ft dish size. Mesh can be replaced and rust can be removed on your mount but you're going to have to spend time and money and you're going to need a friend to...

do I need to install a ku band filter if I have a cband filter installed?

One thing I always wondered about the dual C/Ku LNBF which had the Ku attached to the back, doesn't the Ku position far behind focal point matter or once the signal is in the feedhorn it doesn't matter? It would also seem like the LNBF C-band components would block signal getting to the Ku LNB...

Haven't given up on my 10foot dish yet

I have the same dish and agree with everyone else you definitely need some help getting it aligned properly. For SoCal, your true south satellite is likely either 117W or 119W depending upon location and the max elevation is ~50 deg. I haven't followed your build but did you scout out the...

    New posting

You could be right about missing rim although to me it looks more like the tree branches have grown into the dish and are obscuring view of the lower rim. Wish I had space for it.

    New posting

Could be a great find if you have the space for it and help with disassembly and transport. Hard to tell from picture and not that it can't be repaired but looks like the bottom panel is missing some mesh.

Trouble with Ku Signals on 10ft Mesh Bud

I spent a lot time trying to add a Ku LNB to my 10' dish and was never happy with the results which were consistently poorer than my 39" Ku.

C-band dish what type of aluminum?

Thanks Arlo, incredibly useful info. I consulted a welder friend of mine who I know has experience welding Aluminum but didn't get into specifics yet. As this is all new to me, isn't T5 and T6 essentially the same alloy? I'll post a couple of pictures of the existing Aluminum joints and the...

C-band dish what type of aluminum?

Thanks, I'm assuming that means 6061 T5? Any idea if you can weld T6 to T5 and if welding "undoes" the heat treatment? We successful MacGuyver'd a rectangular tube bender with wood dowels and clamps to restore the the normal dish arc without having to remove the mesh or heating it up with a...
