    OTHER LNB parameters

Your receiver should have a setting for a Universal 9750/10600 LNB. On the other hand, if you're trying to receive strictly North American satellites, you could set it to just 10600, and make sure to turn the 22kHz signal to On. The dual-band setting is only necessary for a few satellites...

    Edision OS Mio 4K firmware/OS

I use timers very rarely, but I've never had a problem with them. I did do a clean install of version 5, versus importing my settings from the old version. I seem to remember all sorts of problems doing that in the past. And it lets me get a fresh scan of all my satellites anyway.

    AMIKO Amiko Mini 4k uhd s2 x - strengths & weaknesses

If I'm remembering correctly, I think my Amiko Mini HD RE would either delete or refuse to display (I can't remember which) the last satellite in the list any time a satellite list was saved and re-loaded.

    OTHER Reactive power

My HH90 also has no buttons. As for pointing the dish south, receivers with a robust set of commands available will have a "Go To 0" command. But I'm not sure why you'd need to go to exactly the south position anyway -- if there's no satellite there, you have nothing to peak the signal on.

Edision OS Mio 4k stuck on "boot" and blue screen

I ended up sending the unit back to Brian. He wiped it and reloaded it and it worked perfectly for him at first. But luckily he decided to leave it running for a few more days before sending it back to me. It eventually locked up exactly as it initially did for me -- front panel clock running...

Edision OS Mio 4k stuck on "boot" and blue screen

I never had any problem with booting with a drive attached, although I didn't have tons of stuff on the drive. But it doesn't boot without a drive attached either. Your mention of missing horizontal transponders is interesting! I went through a long period where TNAP wouldn't find ANY...

Edision OS Mio 4k stuck on "boot" and blue screen

Yes, it sounds like the same symptoms, as far as I'm able to test it. Like yours, it was sitting idle at the time it apparently crashed. (I didn't try any network access other than the WebIF prior to attempting to re-flash it, and now that I've [maybe] re-flashed it, it would be inconvenient...

Edision OS Mio 4k stuck on "boot" and blue screen

Tried everything everyone suggested. (I guess nobody read past the title. Kind of makes me feel like I'm on the Microsoft support board.) The only other thing I tried is, there seems to be a difference in opinion as to whether the file is supposed to be named "force" or "force.txt". It...

Edision OS Mio 4k stuck on "boot" and blue screen

Today I tried to access my Mio from my PC and found it unresponsive. I went to the TV and selected the Mio's input and found a solid blue screen. At this point, the Mio's front-panel clock was still running. It wouldn't respond to the remote, so I pulled the power. When I reconnected it, it...

    OTHER Recommendation for dish motor?

Maybe it would with with a Stab 120 if one could be found? Don't they mount the dish above the motor rather than below it?

OTHER Help New To Free Satellite TV First KU Band Dish Setup

Does your dish come with anything specifying what the elevation marker is? On some, it's not the edge of the bracket, it's the center of the bolt. (Stupid, I know.) Depending on where you are, some are stronger than others. 97W is only average strength for me. You really ought to be able...

OTHER Using a rotator motor for my 3' HughesNet dish

I always thought they were supposed to be the gold standard, but my HH90 has a ridiculous amount of slop, and I've seen quite a bit of complaining about it on other forums too. It's probably at least half a degree if I had to guess. It's so much that if I have my dish aligned perfectly on one...

OTHER What's possible to receive with Ku-band in Arizona?

First off, I believe that list is channels that originate from the United States, not necessarily ones receivable from the United States. Second, the position is the orbital location of the satellite, not the azimuth of your dish. You'd have to put each satellite's location into a dish aiming...

    OTHER Lose signal

Is your dish aligned straight on the motor shaft? I had a problem with that once.

    OTHER Lose signal

That's a very good question, and one which someone else will have to answer. I got an Edision OS Mio 4k because I wanted remote access and streaming video that worked without any special software on the receiving end and also access to other geeky things like objective signal strength and...

    OTHER Lose signal

I don't know if the h265 Amiko has the same issues as its predecessor the Mini HD RE, but I kept having an issue with that unit where from time to time I would lose all signal after changing satellites and I would have to turn the LNB power off and back on (with the menu setting). I don't know...

OTHER Help with SES-3 103W Ku

Are you not getting the NBC network feeds? If so, either your aim isn't good enough or your receiver or LNB is junk.

    AMIKO Trouble finding Satellites

Last time I had a motor take on a life of its own with a properly-configured receiver, it turned out that the relays in the motor were sticking. Hopefully that's not the case and it was just a receiver glitch.

OTHER a shot in the dark

Even though I'm in the east, I don't think 78W comes this far north, that's why it didn't ring any bells for me. Glad you got your system working!

OTHER a shot in the dark

If your receiver and your motor support USALS (most do), and you're not using it, you're doing things the hard way. You only need to find one satellite and it will find the rest on its own. And as long as your dish/motor mount doesn't change, the only thing you need to set up on a new receiver...

OTHER a shot in the dark

Why are you needing to re-locate the satellites? Were you using DiSEqC 1.2 instead of USALS?
