Does Direct usually offer a special on premium channels like HBO, etc to get people to keep premiums after the 90 days that's free for new subscribers?

Just installed yesterday (Genie and 2 clients). Came from Comcast X1 DVR, left because of CRAZY price hike (was with Dish years ago when HD first came out). I have to say that compared to the X1, the Genie user interface is some what of a mess and very outdated. Hopefully since AT&T now owns it...

Seems like Dish missed one heck of an opportunity my not putting an HD or better camera on the satellite. The quality of the Dish earth channel really sucks at best.

Does ANYONE know the real scoop on why Indy, who is ranked in the top 20 markets in the us) still has no HD Locals. I get it with an antenna, seems like weather effects the digital signal worse at times than analog. Come on dish. Give us Hoosiers some locals in HD:mad:

When is dish expected to launch the next two satellites?

I know that answering this question requires a lot of speculation and assumptions (ie, Sats going up and working as scheduled), but what do you think Dish will look like in a year?

Does anyone know if the Dishcomm is active on the vip222? Not talking about the Ethernet port, but the feature that allows the two talk to each other via the power lines.

I have a VIP 722 and two 322's, all connected to a phone line. I will be connecting the 722 via the Ethernet port to call in. Once I do that will to continue to have the 322's hooked up to a phone line or will the 722 cover the requirement to call in. I'm wanting to do away with my home phone.

Hi. Just purchased a KDL-46XBR4. Everything is great except for this one problem. Anytime I try to scan in channels, it will scan in analog (finds 22), then it starts to scan for digital signals. It makes it half way (finds 15), then the scan stops, the TV shuts itself down, turns itself back on...

I know this is all speculation since Charlie does what the heck he wants, but will Dish go full resolution on the HD signals when the new bird goes up? Is Direct running at full resolution now?

Anyone have a clue when The Weather Channel feature will be added to the vip222 on 100, Dish Home? Isn't even in the menu yet where Instant Weather and CNN Enhanced is.

I have a vip222 and two 322's with a DP44 Plus switch. The power inserter is on the line with the vip222. Is there any reason I couldn't put it in line with one of the 322's, or to hook it up directly to the switch on the empty output? Trouble shooting an issue with the vip222.
