I spoke (posted) too soon. WMAR is gone on both my TV tuner and the one in the HWS. I have tried it with a nd without the new LTE filter and with the signal both sloit and unspllit at the TV.

Maybe WMAR is doing something or maybe I just got lucky earlier today. I may try an other scan early in the AM on another day.

About 1/2 our stations failed their first move. One went off the air for hours, came back at new frequency, went off, came back at old frequency, etc. One went off the air for months due to a faulty brand new antenna for their new frequency. One moved to a completely different tower, different direction, and I had to tweak the direction of my antennas. Though I was able to completely eliminate one dedicated antenna due to this stations move, so that move was ultimately good.

Since they were only scheduled to move at 9am, give it some time. One of mine took over 6 hours to switch. They don't know what will happen until they switch, and then all heck can break loose. It's NOT as simple as flipping a switch.

I read elsewhere that WMAR reduced power significantly at 9:45 AM The other two are dropping out fora lot of people who are much closer than I am. I am going to wait a few days and scan again.

Yes, WMAR looks a lot weaker now than it did right after it transitioned. I wonder if something went wrong.

- Trip

A neighbor told me it came back and I rescanned. It has indeed returned. I am not sure if they are at full power or not. But it is coming in clearer than late morning-----or before the transition. But primesar is right these things do not always go smoothly. It just would be nice if they werea bit more forthcoming about problems encountered but I suppose they do not want to advertise "bad news."

I did a scan this morning and I have now LOST reception of WBAL, WJZ and WMAR as well as all their subchannels. I guess that I am now officially part of the Philly DMA instead of Baltimore.

All 3 of those channels broadcast from the same tower. Or did anyway. Perhaps you need to tweak your antenna system, or put it a little higher, etc.

They just went through the repack and are now broadcasting from aux antennas at reduced power. Not much hope of receiving them until they get their new antennas in place. All of them should be easily receivable for me at 45 miles from the towers. I was getting them well BEFORE the repack

WMAR is a bit better today. It still breaks up on occasion but it is viewable. I am hoping people share any news here as i can view AVSFORUMS.COM but cannot post there.

BTW it is my understanding that WMAR had an equipment failure. They may have corrected taht now but I really do not know.

Seeing it was or is on rf ch 11. I am quite a distance away and can get KSBW ch 8 when the fog comes into Salinas. So it is touchy signal from where i live.
