I currently have an extensive movie collection that I stream via my PS3. Unfortunately with Cinavia, I run into problems now and then. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a device that can play Netflix, Amazon and MKV files. I prefer the device to be hard wired to the router and I will connect it to a projector via HDMI. Thanks in advance!

DK. Someone else may field that one.

On edit: Looked it up. Should play MKV files.

I wasn't happy with the results on the Roku 3 as far as playing MKV but mine are uncompressed BD rips. I honestly haven't tried playing them with the Roku 4 since my Oppo BDP103D is much better at it. Not really impressed with the server apps since I don't need all of the indexing and cataloging associated with them. I prefer a simple directory-type interface that shows just the titles with free browsing of any shared device on the network.

It will play mkv files but not full bitrate Bluray rips and it will not play or pass through the lossless audio codecs. Video also needs to be h264, so mpeg2 DVD rips will not play.
