I wish all studios were neutral. So we could see who the real winner should be.
So do I but that's not going to happen. The reality is I want hd and I'll just have to buy what they give me. In my opionion HD DVD is better. It's finalized and cheaper. But it's looking like this is being decided for us.

The BD group is what it is because it was Japanese companies that did not want to see the HD market go to the Chinese. They did not want to compete against HD players being dumpped in the US for $50 by the Chinese. They were not going to let it be an open standard like DVD and end up with everyone and their dog making players.

Once again, you prove your philosophy:

Anyone who agrees with Vurbano = Intelligent and an all-around good person
Anyone who disagrees with Vurbano = Troll/Shill/Zealot/Stupid

Ahhh. You must be talking about "VURBANO DA TROLL" ;)

really? When did Paramount and Universal abandon ship?

"We have received word from Paramount/DreamWorks that although they continue to support HD DVD, they will not be making any new high-def title announcements at CES 2008."

and the ubiquitous "Universal declined comment" seem to be looming pretty ominously.
