Hey guys. I've had Sirius radio in my 2012 Kia Optima ever since I bought it, and it's always played flawlessly. Today my signal dropped at least 25 times on a 15 minute trip, and said Acquiring Signal about 10 times. No obstacles in the way, same routes I've always driven. Any idea what might be wrong?

Huh. I had no such trouble in my 300 today. Do you know if Kia uses Sirius or XM tech? I'll bet it's XM since my daughter's Hyunday uses XM.

It uses Sirius. This was in my front yard. It has never failed to pick up a signal there.

Antenna problem perhaps?

Could be. I had a dish network lnb that acted that way once, and had to be replaced. It has the shark fin type antenna, and I've read that they are a little more likely to go bad than the shaft antennas. I'll have to take it to the dealer and get it checked.
