Hi,

Any idea on how long the coax cable can be between the voom receiver and the satellite dish without losing reception? I'm interested in having a two receiver VOOM system installed. The optimal position for the dish with an unobstructed view is about 100' (cable feet) from the main television, and about 25' from the secondary TV. Dish network functioned perfectly well with a single 100' run to the main TV, but never tried splitting the signal for the second set.

Thanks in advance.

Tony

Welcome apcaruso!

100' RG-6 should work, I think. Note, however, that you cannot split satellite cables between two receivers. You need a separate line from the second receiver all the way to the second LNB connector, or to the multiswitch if your install includes one.

Don't worry about how far, I installed a system with over 180' of RG6 with no problem, You will need to run a line from the dish to each STB, (ie: seperate cable for each receiver).
