Transferring Recordings from One Hopper 3 to another Hopper 3?

I press & release Info and then press & release Recall, the Clear Wireless Settings pops up.

I did exactly that. I pressed Home 3 times, and then 2 for Network Settings, then 7 for Internet Settings, then Info, then Recall and got the Clear Wireless Settings menu.

That works; it displays Clear Wireless Settings #1512 with an option to clear settings. I'm guessing that will disconnect the WiFi.

Yes it will. If it doesn't have the data to connect there is nothing to connect to.

I figure as much, but I want to be sure before I tear it into my system.

When you pair the remote to the new receiver it will transfer all your settings and dvr timers, as it stores them all in the remote.

Dish sent new remotes. Will I have to use the old remotes to transfer settings and DVR timers before activating the new remotes? Or just pair the new remotes, and it will find the settings?

I'm not 100% sure but I recommend pairing the old remote first and waiting about 5 minutes begire pairing a new remote
